How Are Lab Diamonds Made?
Lab diamonds are made in controlled laboratory environments using today’s most advanced technologies that duplicate the growing conditions of mined diamonds or those produced by the earth.
Lab diamonds have the same optical and chemical properties as mined diamonds. The sparkle is the exact same. The only difference is their origin.
Do lab diamonds test as Real diamonds?
Yes, lab-created diamonds will test positive on a diamond tester. Although grown by scientists in a lab instead of in the earth's crust, lab diamonds are absolutely real diamonds. They have the same chemical and optical properties as natural diamonds. Expert gemologists cannot tell the difference between the two with the naked eye. A lab diamond can only be distinguished from mined diamonds using specialized equipment that can detect the minor differences in trace elements and crystal growth
Are lab diamonds the same as mossainite?
No, moissanite is a different mineral and stone than lab-created diamonds, with a completely different look and hardness rating. We do not work with moissanite for any of our jewelry.
